Gary Falk, a Grand Dynamics Contractor and Exum Mountain Guide died Saturday morning July 23rd, 2016 on the descent from the Grand Teton. Grand Dynamics expresses our condolences and is shocked and devastated by the loss of such and incredible positive force in our community.

Gary Falk, 42, was guiding a group of clients down from an ascent of the park’s highest peak when he fell about 2,400 feet from the top of the Owen-Spalding rappell into Valhalla Canyon near the Black Ice Couloir.

Gary was a long time climbing partner of GDI President Tim Walther. Their adventurous ascents included routes such as The Grand Traverse(GTNP), Moonlight Buttress(Zion), Time Wave Zero(MX), The Moose’s Tooth(AK) and many others. Gary was a Grand Dynamics contractor who delivered health and wellness seminars, climbing related programming and was the lead guide for the Grand Adventure program.

A Go Fund Me Campaign has been set up in his honor to raise funds for his Widow Kate Falk and remaining young children, Anders and Donovan.
