THE LEADER IN EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Stephanie Sibille

For years, Stephanie has devoted her time to honing her facilitation skills and researching the best practices in experiential education - both nationally and internationally. She represents the GDI team at conferences all over North America, presenting on topics ranging from community development to resume writing.

Stephanie has had the opportunity to live and work in environments as diverse as New York City, Eastern Australia, Flagstaff, AZ, and Northern California, and spent much of her childhood in France. An avid hiker and adventurer, she hiked over a thousand miles of the Appalachian Trail, over a two-month period. Her travel experiences have provided her with a unique lens through which to view the world and a deeper understanding of the human spirit, visible in her speaking and facilitation.

Stephanie currently oversees sales, marketing, and program delivery for GDI's Western States region. She holds a BA from New York University's Gallatin School in Recreation and Experiential Education - the first of its kind - and  has worked with clients ranging from inner-city youth, to university administrators, to many of New York City's investment banks. She gladly serves on the Leadership Council for the Western Regional Association for Experiential Education (WRAEE).

Her facilitation is a clear reflection of her sense of humor, directive nature, and genuine compassion, blended with an undoubtedly contagious spirit of adventure. More than anything, Stephanie delights in facilitating - and witnessing - the "wow" moments, where participants achieve that which they did not think was possible.

A recent California transplant, Stephanie enjoys exploring the many adventures that the West Coast offers. Favorite hobbies include long-distance hiking, trail running, rock climbing, skiing, slacklining, exploring new cities, yoga, singing, and just about any form of travel.
